The Battle of Port Arthur, 1904

Comments - Interesting view of medics tending Japanese troops during the Battle of Port Arthur during the Russo-Japanese War. At bottom center, a medic wearing a red cross armband gestures with his white-gloved hand. Behind him, two men attend to a fallen soldier, each wearing a naval uniform. At right, a wounded officer is carried away on a stretcher, blood dripping from his wound. Smoke drifts across the deck of the ship, obscuring the troop gathered there. A handsome design with nice detail.

Artist - Kiyochika (1835 - 1900)

Image Size - 14" x 18 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Two separate panels. Toning, slight soiling, a few spots and creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
