Original Meiji era Japanese Woodblock Print
Girl Taking a Lesson

Comments - Charming scene of a young girl taking a lesson, kneeling quietly as a scholar seated at a low desk reads from an open book. He wears a tall black court cap and wears a green robe with an elegant pattern in silver mica. The girl's purple kimono also includes silver mica around the navy blue motifs. An attractive subject with a nicely detailed setting.
