Prince Genji on a Verandah

Comments - Handsome scene of Prince Genji relaxing on a verandah, lounging against the railing as he takes a toothpick from his mouth. He holds a fan decorated with butterflies, and a tray with a meal on it and a basin of water with cups floating in it rest on the floor nearby. The room overlooks a lovely view of a waterfall blanked by blossoming cherry trees with mountains in the distance. Nice detail in the setting.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14" x 9 5/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. A few small holes and thinning spots, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
