Actors on Stage for a Prologue

Comments - Interesting scene of kabuki actors kneeling on stage during the "kojo" or prologue to a play. They bow forward respectfully, their hands placed on the floor before them. The man at lower right grimaces angrily as he stares at a young man at upper, who returns his gaze with a scowl. A handsome design with expressive faces.

Artist - Kunichika (1835 - 1900)

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 18 7/8"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two separate panels. A few small holes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
