Meiji Era Lithographs - Chromolithography became popular in Japan during the Meiji era. This handsome design is from a group of multi-color lithograph prints depicting contemporary events. Subjects include beauties, scenes from everyday life, famous sites, and military subjects, including the Russo-Japanese War. An interesting Meiji era subject in a large format, nicely detailed.
