Series; The Twelve Months

The Fifth Month (Satsuki), 1860 - Attractive scene of Prince Genji enjoying a stroll in the fifth month. He smiles happily as he holds up a folding fan, wearing a coat with stylized blue blossoms, with a red brocade collar and trim. A matron shelters him beneath an umbrella, and a young girl carries a small kettle dangling from a cord. Behind them, farmers can be seen preparing the fields to plant rice. A charming scene, detailed with embossing on the white kimono collar and trim.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Thinning and small losses at corners, repaired. Slight toning, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
