Beauties Visiting a Waterfall, 1900 - Beautiful Chikanobu triptych depicting a group of beauties visiting a waterfall, admiring the dramatic falls crashing into the river below. Two women chat happily on the near shore, a young girl following behind carry a parcel wrapped in brocade cloth. Beautiful color and detail in the sumptuous kimono fabrics, which are patterned with an array of flowers and leaves. Two other beauties gesture and point at the water from the opposite bank, a row of steps leading to a small structure atop the hill. A lovely image that would make a handsome framed display. Beautifully colored and printed with fine embossed detail in the white kimono collars and trim, subtle burnishing in the black hair, and burnishing in the black obi.

Artist - Chikanobu (1838 - 1912)

Image Size - 14" x 28 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. Slight ink bleeding, a few small creases at edges. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
