Sino-Japanese War Naval Battle

Comments - Dramatic depiction of a naval battle during the Sino-Japanese War. A Japanese warship steams across the choppy water under fluttering flags. A scout in the crow's nests looks through a telescope across the water. Chinese sailors flail and tumbling into the water as their vessels capsize. Many cling to a sinking and rigging mast at left while others bob in the water. At right, several explosions rock a Chinese ship, sending bodies flying through the air. A bold composition with wonderful energy and detail. A great image for a student of military history.
