Japan's Great Victory in the Conquest of Pyongyang, 1894

Comments - Dramatic battle scene from the Sino Japanese War showing Japanese troops firing a cannon into an onslaught of Chinese soldiers during the Battle of Pyongyang. Flames burst from the muzzle of the cannon as shells explode in the distance, clouds of smoke and fire filling the sky. Terrific detail in the weapons and uniforms of the Japanese soldiers. A great choice for a collector interested in this historic war. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts has this image in its collection.
