Comments - Interesting image of the Meiji Emperor and his generals riding on horseback as they review the Imperial Army troops. The emperor rides a white horse at left, his saddle much more ornate that those of the other riders. Soldiers stand at attention at right, and the rooftops of the palace stretch across the background, with the moat and bridge leading to the complex at left. Nicely detailed with burnishing in the black uniforms.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Two separate panels. A few small holes, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and rubbing, writing on reverse at edge. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
