Young Women during the Horeki Period

Goyo Studio Reprints - Hashiguchi Goyo is the undisputed master of the 20th century shin-hanga movement. A secondary part of his career was reprinting beautiful old ukiyo-e prints from the golden age of the print period. In 1920, much of Goyo's artistic work was devoted to creating these incredible woodblock reprints from the golden age of ukiyo-e. Each print was painstakingly copied from an original, line by line and color by color, to perfectly emulate these masterworks of ukiyo-e. Goyo took pride in this work and the release of his reprints was met with great acclaim.

This print comes with the original folder as issued by the publisher, something we've never before offered (see example of folder below). Each design is loose within the folder, accompanied by a text panel in Japanese or English. Today, original Goyo reprints are highly sought after by collectors and rare to find. A great opportunity to acquire a fine ukiyo-e reprint with the original folder.
