The Ferryman Tombei

Comments - A fantastic kabuki image depicting the treacherous ferryman Tombei at right, his face is contorted with anger, his curly white hair and beard framing his reddened skin. His mortally wounded daughter struck the drum in the drumtower to send the signal that the outlaw Yoshimune had been captured, when she had actually let him go. At left, Yoshimune grips her unraveled obi.
