Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of a rather distraught-looking visitor standing at a garden gate, holding a drawstring purse in his outstretched hand. A man kneeling behind the fence looks up at him with a solemn frown as he pushes up the sleeve of his striped kimono. The beauty behind him smiles coyly as she tilts her head down, clutching her sleeve to her chest. Her green kimono is patterned with blossoming irises, and her hair is adorned with a red lacquer comb and ribbons. The colorful leaves of a maple tree frame the dark night sky overhead. A handsome design with soft bokashi shading in the background.
