Meiji Emperor Reviewing Troops, 1886 - Handsome scene of the Meiji Emperor reviewing troops on the parade ground. He rides a white horse, dressed in a black uniform adorned with a sash and medals, along with a cap topped with a feather. Officers on horseback follow behind him. In the background at center, a band plays next to some large white tents, and soldiers stand at attention in rows extending into the distance at left. Nicely detailed with burnishing in the black uniforms and boots.

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 27 3/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. A few holes, repaired. Slight soiling and creasing, a few spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
