Azuma Bridge in Tokyo, 1877

Comments - Fantastic view of the impressive modern steel Azuma Bridge over the Sumida River in Tokyo, which opened in 1887. The imposing structure towers over the crowded deck, packed with pedestrians, a rickshaw, and even a horse-drawn carriage. Boats can be seen on the river below, moving goods and passengers along the water. A fascinating look at the first steel bridge in Tokyo, with a wonderfully detailed panoramic setting.

Artist - Kunisada III (1848 - 1920)

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 28" + top margin as shown
