A New Work: How We Took Revenge

Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of three men and one woman exchanging a variety of glances, some smiling while one looks worried and the other has frowns unhappily. Each wears an olive green and blue striped kimono patterned with large crests, with blue tie-dyed trim, and holds an open book. Text runs across the top of the softly shaded background. An intriguing subject with expressive faces.

Artist - Yoshiiku (1833 - 1904)

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 19 1/2" + margin as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two separate panels. A couple holes, thinning spot at edge, repaired. Slight soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
