Festival Procession and Blossoming Cherry Trees, 1875 - Handsome design from a rarely seen Kyosai series depicting famous places in Tokyo. The top scene shows a festival procession at night, with men carrying lanterns on poles. The fellow in the lead carries a bamboo branch with white strips tied to it, followed by a figure with a long-nosed tengu mask, and a large, fierce demon head. Below, blossoming cherry trees frame a view of a river with Mt. Fuji in the distance. An interesting subject with lively color.
