Series; Comparison of the Spirits of Able Men, circa 1850

Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Fukami Juzaemon - Handsome kabuki portrait of Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Fukami Juzaemon from a series depicting actors in otokodate or street knight roles. He wears a tan kimono with a magnificent pattern of a peacock with the body covered with blue and white blossoms and the feathers made of leaves. He looks to the side with an angry expression, his brows furrowed as he rests one hand on the hilt of his sword. A shakuhachi flute is tucked at his back. A great design with beautiful detail in the kimono.
