A beauty playing a shamisen looks up from the edge of the verandah as the woman behind her throws up her hands with delight. At upper left, a beauty holds up a pocket folding mirror, like that used by the beauty Okaru in the play to spy on a samurai. A lovely garden setting with a pond beyond. Beautiful color and detail in this attractive scene.
