Meiji Emperor Riding in a Carriage

Comments - Handsome depiction of the Meiji Emperor riding in a royal carriage featuring the Meiji chrysanthemum crest on the door and a phoenix figurine on top. He wears a military uniform adorned with a red sash and many medals. The horses trot along the edge of a pond with Western style buildings in the distance at left. Nicely detailed, with extensive burnishing in the black carriage.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Two separate panels. A few holes, repaired. Creasing, slight toning and soiling, a few stains. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
