Riding in a Ferry, 1850

Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of people riding in a ferry. At left, a beauty balances a wooden tub filled with laundry on her head. Two pilgrims sit in the center, the man wearing a white vest while the woman wears a pink one, a string of bells around her neck. A handsome design with expressive figures, nicely colored.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 1/2" x 9 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Paper remnants on reverse at edges from previous mounting. Slight soiling, a few creases and marks. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
