Evening View of Shinjuku, 1945 - Intriguing night scene of a man looking out over the river, his hands in his pockets beneath his trench coat. The buildings and towers on the opposite shore give the scene a gritty, industrial feel. Maekawa Senpan took part in the first Sosaku Hanga Kyokai exhibit in 1919, and became a noted member of the sosaku hanga movement. A great choice for a modern collector, also in the collection of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

Image Size - 7" x 9 1/2" + margins as shown
