Nakamura Utaemon VI as Hanako, 1951 - Lovely kabuki portrait of the actor Nakamura Utaemon in the role of Hanako from the play "Musume Dojoji." The pensive young woman poses with a hand towel caught between her teeth, stretching the cloth out with her hands. Her hair is adorned with a floral ornament, and her kimono features a pattern of pale pink and white cherry blossoms. A beautiful, perceptive image, sensitively drawn. Beautifully detailed with embossing on the white kimono. A handsome, smaller scale reprint of this classic design.

Image Size - 6 3/4" x 10 1/4"
