Comments - Interesting scene of a procession gathered along the shore of the Miyagawa River as they wait for ferries to take them to cross the Miya River on their way to visit the Ise Shrine. the participants dressed in matching blue and white kimono. Two of the groups are dressed in matching blue and white kimono, some carrying umbrellas or standards. Five boats are crowded with pilgrims taking to the village on the far shore. At right, men and women smoking pipes on the verandah watch the activity with interest. An attractive subject with fine detail and a nice landscape background featuring pines and low mountains on the distance bank as the sun sets. Rarely seen in reprint.
