Beauties Viewing a Plum Garden, 1891

Comments - Attractive spring scene of a house overlooking a lovely garden. The beauty in the center has just released a pet bird from its cage, smiling over her shoulder as the bird flies off into the sky. At right, a woman sits at a low writing desk composing poems, a brush in hand. The niche behind her holds a shelf with scrolls and stacks of books, alongside a bonsai pine tree. A blossoming plum tree frames a view of the pond, where beauties stroll about the grounds. A handsome design, nicely detailed.

Artist - Nobukazu (1874 - 1944)

Image Size - 14" x 28" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. Small hole, repaired. Slight ink offsetting, a few small spots and light creases, very slight rubbing in left panel. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
