Samurai and Witch - Fantastic kabuki scene of a witch or demon swooping down on a samurai. She leers at him as she flies down through the night sky, her shaggy hair hanging around her face and along her back. Her lips are gray and the area around her eyes is tinged with blue, a sign of her otherworldliness. The warrior grimaces as he looks up, his umbrella blown inside-out over his shoulder. He wears a purple patterned coat with a furry black collar over a green kimono tucked into pants, his two swords at his side. The peak of Mt. Fuji can be seen in the distance beneath the gray evening sky. An incredible supernatural subject, with wonderful detail in the expressive figures and hair, and fine bokashi shading in the background.
