Okumura Togyu (1889 - 1990) - Born in Tokyo Okumura Togyu was a modern master of nihonga or traditional Japanese-style painting. His beautiful works are known for their exquisite coloring, and he was awarded the Japanese Order of Culture in 1962 for his contributions to Japanese art. A memorial museum dedicated to his art is located in Nagano Prefecture

Fuji, 1981 - Beautiful view of Mt. Fuji bathed in warm golden light, the snow-covered peak dominating the composition. A great large format modern design that would make a handsome framed display. From a limited edition of 250, numbered in red ink in left margin.

Condition - Nice color and detail. A couple light creases at edges. Tape remnants on reverse at edges from previous mounting.
