Flower-viewing on the Embankment of the Sumida River, circa 1851 - Charming scene of beauties on an outing to view the blossoming cherry trees along the Sumida River. The women make their way down the slope towards the water's edge, one woman carrying small bird figurines tied to bamboo stalks. The beauty at right has a cloth wrapped around her hair to protect her hairstyle from dust and dirt. An attractive springe subject.

Condition - Good detail. A few repairs and light creases, slight rubbing.
