Magician Iga Jutaro, 1859

Comments - Fascinating kabuki scene of the magician Iga Jutaro standing on a porch, a cloud of smoke issuing from his pursed lips. He wears a furry black vest over a red print kimono tucked into pants patterned with green and blue clouds, his graying hair pulled into a low ponytail over his back. A sluice gate can be seen in the background, with rushing water below and a dark night sky above. A terrific image with fantastic detail in the fur and setting.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 13 1/2" x 9 1/4"

Condition - Good detail. A couple repairs, light wrinkling.
