Ninja Shining a Lantern, 1879 - Great kabuki scene of a ninja dressed in black shining a lantern across the sky as a young man at left holds up a cloth wrapped parcel, a worried frown on his face. He wears a white kimono patterned with cranes and plum blossoms, his hair pulled back into two loops with loose locks hanging limply around his face. Below him, a beauty turns her face away with a sly smile, watching her companion out of the corner of her eyes behind her upraised sleeve. Undulating water fills the background. Beautifully detailed with a burnished pattern on the black robe. A striking and colorful design with large figures.

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 18 1/8" + margin as shown
