Original Kunichika (1835 - 1900) Japanese Woodblock Print
Nakamura Shikan IV as Kakurega no Mohei, 1865

Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of Nakamura Shikan IV as Kakurega no Mohei on a dark night, a tightlipped frown on his face, his brows furrowed. He stands behind a bush, wearing a boldly patterned blue violet kimono over a red under robe with a furry black collar, a cloth wrapped about his head against the cool night air. A nice large expressive figure.

Artist - Kunichika (1835 - 1900)

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 9 3/8"

Condition - Good color and detail. Backed with paper.
