Moon on the Sumida River, circa 1840 - 1842 - Quiet scene of the Sumida River on a summer night, with pleasure boats lining the shore. A flock of geese descends for the evening, flying past a full moon glowing in the darkening sky. At left, patrons enjoy the evening breeze from the verandah of a teahouse strung with red paper lanterns, while pedestrians cross the bridge in the foreground. An attractive view with soft shading on the water and sky.

Condition - Good detail. Slight separation at ends of vertical centerfold, a few holes, repaired. Diagonal fold, creasing.
