Shintomi Theater Geisha Dance - Charming scene of geisha performing a dance at the Shintomiza or Shintomi Theater in Tokyo. Beauties in matching black kimono tied with pink obi strike graceful poses as they walk across arches wooden bridges with a bed of chrysanthemums below. Above, musicians sit on a platform, accompanying the dancers on shamisen, koto, and kokyu, an instrument similar to a shamisen that is played upright with a bow. Red and white lanterns hanging overhead add a festive air. An interesting subject, nicely detailed.
