Beauty with an Umbrella Kakemono

Comments - Attractive Eisen kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty strolling along, carrying an umbrella with one hand. She looks over her shoulder with a rather dismayed expression, her mouth slightly agape, a few loose wisps of hair framing her face. She wears a brown kimono with a gourd motif, tied with a black and gray checked obi with phoenixes on it. She totters along on tall wooden geta clogs, her red under robe visible as she walks. A classic Edo era beauty subject, beautifully composed.

Artist - Eisen (1790 - 1848)

Image Size - 28 1/4" x 9 3/4"

Condition - Good detail. A few small repairs, a couple horizontal creases.
