Original Meiji era Japanese Woodblock Print
Two-panel Kabuki Paper Model Set

Paper Model Prints - Popular during the Edo and Meiji era, paper model prints were designed to be cut apart and formed into three-dimensional scenes. Prints usually included a variety of figures, buildings, or background elements, brightly colored and nicely detailed, with subjects ranging from kabuki plays to famous battles. The sheets are masterfully composed to combine the maximum number of elements onto a single page., and most include a small scene to be used as a guide when creating the model. As they were designed to be used, uncut paper model prints are rare. A fun and interesting collectible.
