Original Meiji era Japanese Woodblock Print
Portrait of the Dignified Emperor

Comments - Interesting group portrait of the Meiji Emperor and Empress and the Prince, father and son both dressed in military uniforms trimmed with yellow and red braid. The Empress stands behind a plush chair trimmed with fringe, wearing a purple kimono patterned with the Meiji chrysanthemum crest and phoenixes, and a small crown. Behind the group, a large vase on a table holds chrysanthemums and peonies. A handsome image of the royal family.
