Noel Nouet - Noel Nouet was a French artist and poet who spent much of his life in
Kameido Shrine, 1936 - Beautiful view of Kameido shrine in springtime, framed by wisteria hanging from an arbor in the foreground. Visitors climb the steeply arched drum bridge to the temple, the pond below shimmering with reflections of the structures. A wonderful view of this famous site.
This presentation - This print comes in a handsome presentation format as originally issued by the publisher. The print is loose within a windowed paper mat that slides into an outer gray folder with the artist's name and series in metallic gold, accompanied by a page of commentary in Japanese. We rarely see these woodblocks come with the original folders. A nice choice for a collector.
