Comments - Interesting kabuki portrait of Ichimura Kakitsu IV as the otokodate or street knight Akebono Genta, looking up from beneath the blue robe draped over his head, frowning sullenly. His violet kimono features a pattern of crows and snow-covered pine branches, worn over a red under robe. A text panel at upper right takes the form of an open book, with a closed book at left, the background softly shaded from red to green. The first time we've seen this handsome design.
