Threatening a Child

Comments - Dramatic kabuki scene of Bando Hikosaburo as a commoner threatening a child, holding a sword to the neck of the infant sprawling on the floor beside him, a tightlipped frown on his face. Barrels of sake are stacked at left, and a curtain hangs in the doorway at upper right. An unusual subject.
