Series; Copied from a Votive Painting of Inaka Genji Donated to Kameido Tenmangu Shrine

Summer, circa 1839 - Attractive design from a series of four woodblocks based on votive paintings donated to Kameido Tenmangu Shrine in 1839. The group features the Inaka or Rustic Genji and beauties in a scene for each of the four seasons, with a border of clouds at the top and confetti-like dots on the background. A rare Kunisada series.

Condition - Good detail. A couple small repairs, a few creases at edges.
