Struggling over a Banner

Comments - Great kabuki scene of a beauty and a samurai struggling over a banner. The woman shines at lantern at the samurai's face as he clenches the end of the banner between his teeth, a naginata in his hand. . He wears a striking outer kimono patterned with dragons, short hair sticking up wildly atop his head with longer locks pulled into a low ponytail over his back. A warrior in armor grabs hold of the cloth in the center, tumbling onto one knee as he grips his sword in the other hand. The pillar of a stone torii gate and a lantern frame a view of the night sky as clouds drift across a full moon. Another torii gate can be seen in silhouette among the trees in the distance. A terrific design, detailed with an embossed pattern on the beauty's white kimono, delicate cloth embossing on the banner, and burnishing on the black trim of the dragon kimono.
