Comments - Lovely kakemono or vertical diptych of Wakamurasaki of the Tamaya in Edo-machi 1-chome, smiling happily as she walks along on geta clogs with three "teeth," identifying her as an oiran or high-ranking courtesan. Please note, the signature Kuniyoshi has been falsely added in ink at lower right. The original design was unsigned, and it is not by Kuniyoshi.
