Beauties in a Garden, 1895 - Lovely scene of beauties enjoying a garden in the early evening. At right, a woman opens a garden gate to chat with a visitor who wears a delicately striped yellow and white kimono. In the center, a young girl strolls alongside a beauty carrying a fan decorated with grasses. At left, a woman and a girl walk out onto a dock over the water. Bush clover frames the scene at bottom, with pine trees dotting a grassy hill beyond. The first time we've seen this attractive Chikanobu design.
