Commoner with a Bucket

Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of a commoner lifting a well bucket over his head with both hands. He looks up with a tightlipped frown, his brows furrowed and a white sash tied around his forehead. A few wet hairs frame his face. He wears a boldly patterned blue and white summer kimono that hangs open on the waist, the white areas faintly embossed. A dramatic design, nicely composed.
