Rice Production - Charming untitled series published by the Ministry of Education in 1873 depicting the production of rice in Japan. Each woodblock is divided in two, with a scene of farmers working below and a detail of the plant, tools, or finished products in the upper half. The prints were used to help educate students. An interesting and rarely seen education series.

Image Size - 13 1/4" x 8 3/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Small losses and thinning at edges, repaired. Vertical folds, creasing, a few stains. Please see photos for details.
