Man Carrying a Sleeping Boy, 1860

Comments - Interesting scene of a man carrying a sleeping boy on his back, looking over at him to see if he is still asleep. The boy wears a dotted vest over a red kimono with puppies on the sleeve. Two women smile with delight as they watch the child, the beauty at left holding a red pinwheel above her head. Her kimono features chrysanthemum blossoms, tied with a brown and yellow print obi. A charming design with expressive figures.
