Comments - Handsome portrait of Bando Hikosaburo V as the outlaw Shirai Gonpachi in the play "Tamakushige Akebono Soga" at the Nakamura Theater. The young samurai grips his sword with both hands, looking to the side suspiciously. A blossoming plum tree frames the night sky above. An expressive figure.
