Cherry Blossoms along the Sumida River, 1863 - Attractive portrait of a beauty in a striking black and white kimono looking over her shoulder with a happy smile, a fan in her hands. An inset at upper left depicts the embankment of the Sumida River in Edo, with blossoming cherry trees along the horizon. Borders of blue and green clouds run across the top and bottom. The first time we've seen this subject.
