Onoe Kikugoro IV as Gaku no Kosan and Dragon, 1858 - Fantastic scene from the play "Yanagishima uwasa no nishiki-e" at the Ichimura Theater of Onoe Kikugoro IV as the beauty Gaku no Kosan relaxing in bed, with a fierce dragon emerging from swirling black and gray clouds on the screen panel behind her. She grins, biting the tip of her tongue as she leans against a stack of comforters, a comb in one hand and a pipe in the other, a few wisps of hair framing her face.
