Aoyama Parade Ground Grand Review - Interesting scene of the Meiji Emperor reviewing troops on the parade grounds at Aoyama. He sits astride a light tan horse at center, wearing a fine black uniform covered with medals and a red sash across the chest. Other officers on horseback wait behind him, while at left, a soldier on a brown horse carries a flag bearing the Meiji Imperial crest. Rows of troops stand at attention around the edge of the ground, with tents visible at upper right. The peak of Mt. Fuji can barely be seen in the distance in the center. A nicely detailed design.
